Inspired Version (1:1)
The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake:

דִּבְרֵ֣י ([These are] the words) עָמ֔וֹס (of Amos), אֲשֶׁר־ (who) הָיָ֥ה (was) בַנֹּקְדִ֖ים (among the sheepherders) מִתְּק֑וֹעַ (of Tekoa)— אֲשֶׁר֩ (what) חָזָ֨ה (he saw) עַל־ (concerning) יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל (Israel) בִּימֵ֣י׀ (in the days) עֻזִיָּ֣ה ([when] Uzziah) מֶֽלֶךְ־ ([was] king) יְהוּדָ֗ה (of Judah) וּבִימֵ֞י (. . .) יָרָבְעָ֤ם (and Jeroboam) בֶּן־ (son) יוֹאָשׁ֙ (of Jehoash) מֶ֣לֶךְ ([was] king) יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל (of Israel). שְׁנָתַ֖יִם (two years) לִפְנֵ֥י (before) הָרָֽעַשׁ׃ (the earthquake),

וְשָֽׁבַרְתִּי֙ (I will break down) בְּרִ֣יחַ (the gates) דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק (of Damascus); וְהִכְרַתִּ֤י (I will cut off) יוֹשֵׁב֙ (the ruler) מִבִּקְעַת־ (from the Valley of Aven) אָ֔וֶן (. . .) וְתוֹמֵ֥ךְ (and the one who wields) שֵׁ֖בֶט (the scepter) מִבֵּ֣ית (in Beth-eden) עֶ֑דֶן (. . .). וְגָל֧וּ (will be exiled) עַם־ (The people) אֲרָ֛ם (of Aram) קִ֖ירָה (to Kir), אָמַ֥ר (says) יְהוָֽה׃פ (the LORD).

וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י (Yet [it was] I) הִשְׁמַ֤דְתִּי (who destroyed) אֶת־ (-) הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ (the Amorite) מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם (before them), אֲשֶׁ֨ר (though) כְּגֹ֤בַהּ (his height) אֲרָזִים֙ (the cedars), גָּבְה֔וֹ (was like that of) וְחָסֹ֥ן (as strong) ה֖וּא (and he was) כָּֽאַלּוֹנִ֑ים (as the oaks). וָאַשְׁמִ֤יד (Yet I destroyed) פִּרְיוֹ֙ (his fruit) מִמַּ֔עַל (above) וְשָׁרָשָׁ֖יו (and his roots) מִתָּֽחַת׃ (below).

And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the Lord.

וּנְטַעְתִּ֖ים (I will firmly plant them) עַל־ (in) אַדְמָתָ֑ם (their own land), וְלֹ֨א (never) יִנָּתְשׁ֜וּ (to be uprooted) ע֗וֹד (again) מֵעַ֤ל (from) אַדְמָתָם֙ (the land) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that) נָתַ֣תִּי (I have given) לָהֶ֔ם (them), אָמַ֖ר (says) יְהוָ֥ה (the LORD) אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ (your God).
